My 5 Go-To Hairstyles When I’m in a Time Crunch
We all suffer from hitting snooze one too many times to get extra zzz’s + forgo our morning routine. 10 minutes to get ready + out the door? No big deal. This happens to me quite often but with the right products + hair tools, we can get that hair looking presentable in minutes with 5 quick, effortless styles.
Helpful hair Products
1. Dry Shampoo
Love me a good dry shampoo. We’re very familiar with each other — basically BFFs. It’s a key player in my morning routine. The worst thing about having dirty hair is the dull + flatness it gives you. Find yourself a dry shampoo that will suck up all that oil + give you a boost of volume too. I’m currently using + loving the SGX NYC Dry Touch Volumizing Dry Shampoo from Target.
2. Texture Spray! And to add more texture + hold to your hair, try using the SGX NYC The Bodyguard Texture Spray. It gives your hair a soft tousled look. Both of these products get the job done, smell amazing + are super affordable.
0 to 10 real quick hairstyles
#1 Low Slick Bun
This one is inspired by the one + only, Bella Hadid. I don’t do it justice… nonetheless, this look is so easy to throw together. Plus it makes it appear that you put effort into your hair when it took you less than 2 minutes. Brush your hair out, find your part then brush back into a low bun + secure. Use a couple bobby pins to hold flyaways down + dust with hairspray. Add a pair of hoop earrings for extra chic-ness!
#2 Braided Halo
Anything with braids, count me in. It gives the appearance that you put a lot of work into your hair when you really didn’t. Braid a small section of your hair on both sides. Secure with elastics. Next, connect + wrap both braids behind your head. Secure with bobby pins to create a halo. Time permitting, add a few soft waves to the rest of your hair. So heavenly!
#3 Half up - Top Knot
This hairstyle is one of my favorites. Brush the top section of your hair + create a baby bun on top. Create a small poof from the top-front section of your hair to give some volume. Extra tip: Fill in any sparse areas of your hair line with dark eye shadow to make your hair look fuller!
#4 Messy Bun
This is a classic hairstyle. Brush the top section of your hair + secure with bobby pins. Brush the rest of your hair up to create a top bun. Pull a couple pieces of hair to frame your face + of course, hairspray that baby! For some extra sass, secure your bun with a bright colored scrunchie!
#5 Accessorize!
Adding hair barrettes (v trendy right now), a hair scarf, or a hat helps disguise your dirty hair while giving off the appearance that you have your s**t together.
