Cafe du Chateau Cold Brew Coffee Maker Review

hey! it’s me again. your friendly, inconsistent blogger! but i’m trying :)

today, i wanted to talk about something i’ve been passionate about lately... my cold brew coffee maker from Cafe du Chateau. i’ll be honest, i wasn’t always a cold drink type of girl. i’ve always gravitated to warm drinks but i’ve turned a new leaf recently + it has to do with my sweet little cold brew maker! i love how smooth and strong my coffee turns out. and it’s truly so easy to make at home. i don’t need to go to starbucks anymore (maybe occasionally, i’m only human) but the trips will be significantly less! i’ll also share the most amazing copycat recipe of pumpkin sweet cream from starbucks that i found. the perfect topping to your cold brew!

here’s a little rundown on how this Cafe du Chateau Cold Brew Coffee Maker works —

there’s three essential parts.

  • top lid

  • glass carafe

  • coffee filter

now it’s time to brew! first, set the coffee filter on a flat non-slip surface + gently pour your coarse ground coffee into the filter. pour all the way to the top of the filter + let it set naturally but don’t overfill!

note: you will add A LOT of coffee. this is normal. cold brew is strong AF.

next, gently set the filter on top of the carafe + slowly start pouring filtered water into it. give it a few seconds for the water to filter through the coffee. then, repeat this process until the water is about 1/2 inch below the max fill line.

finally, place the lid on top of the carafe + press firmly to seal. refrigerate for 16-24 hours. the longer you brew, the stronger it’ll be! when you’re ready to serve, pull the coffee filter out of the carafe, dispose of the grounds, + serve it up!

it serves about two large + strong AF drinks. i absolutely adore this cold brew maker. my only complaint is that i wish it could hold more coffee. one carafe makes enough for brady + i. but it’s honestly so worth it when i think about how much money i’m saving making cold brew at home.

i’m a big fan of the pumpkin sweet cream from Starbucks + i found a great copycat version from the blog, Midwest Nice. Linked it here! Trust me, you’re going to want this everyday!
